Auditing 101 in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011

 In Microsoft Dynamics CRM Blog

I have to be honest here, I am a huge fan of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and I have been since it was in Beta. That bias aside, I was quite surprised recently when I decided to just dive into the Auditing functionality and see if I could figure it out. The navigation button seemed to be jumping out at me every time I clicked on settings to make some change or other. Words like Audit are intimidating; they make me think of complexity and lots of steps and an endless pile of useless data to work through. It wasn’t like that at all. It took me about 2 minutes to get it all turned on and set up and another 10 to fully understand how one of my clients would use it – especially if they had data compliance requirements. The truth is it took me longer to make the video about how to use it than it did to learn. You will get it even faster since all the basics are already laid out for you in the 8.5 minute video below. Take a look when you have a few minutes and let me know what you think.
