Updated Solution Release: AutoNumber Solution Version 1.0.4 for Microsoft Dynamics 365
Automatically assign numbers to any record type in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (formerly Dynamics CRM) with the Fullscope AutoNumber tool. It allows you to establish the number that you want to start with, prefix it with letters or an acronym and start numbering each record created in the system moving forward.
About the Solution
Out of the box Dynamics 365 allows numbering of certain records (e.g. cases, quotes) but severely limits your ability to define custom numbering schemes, and the results are long and not easily readable.
The Fullscope AutoNumber solution allows you to define alphanumeric auto-numbering for any record using simple rules and produces intuitive, readable results—ABC0002 follows ABC0001, not QUO-00001-XUYFJF.
